You’ll hear these words thrown around a lot of times in your wedding journey. But what is a “proposal,” exactly? Well, for general purposes, it is quite simply a document that shows what your florist thinks your wedding will look like and how much it will cost them to produce. But there is so much more to this… At least, for me. Because I care deeply about your wedding!

I’ll break it down for you like this:

Mood Board

This is going to set the tone for your florals. I collect and curate lots of inspiration–artwork, furnishings, textiles, quotes, music, garden design, shoes, everything!–and I put it into a collection for you to see where the mood is going. This is just a physical interpretation of how I feel you would like to see your wedding day translated into flowers. This is also a wonderful way to make sure I’m on the right track with all of the other elements that you and your planner have selected.

Design Guide

Design Guide – This is where we dive into the details. I use more descriptive wording to explain how each element is going to look. Since I am very opposed to plagiarizing other florists’ work, I like to instead compile pictures of individual flowers and then show some of my past work and describe what I want to do with the flowers.

Digital Mock Ups

Sometimes designs are too difficult to explain with words, so I like to create digital mock ups that can really illustrate a concept that I’m trying to achieve. These are in select proposals because they take so much time to create, but I will use them for complicated designs or if you ask nicely.

What is Included

Here, I outline everything that we take care of for you, so you know exactly what to expect from us. Do you get an in-person mock up? Do we handle all of the delivery and strike? Do we handle any moving of the flowers during the event? All of those details are outlined here.

Pricing Guide

We always include a line item Pricing Guide to show full transparency and to make sure our counts are correct. Here, you can see exactly how much is being spent on each part of your wedding florals. We also include line items for delivery & strike, labor & design, taxes, and anything that is complementary.

What’s Next

This section is so important because it gives a very clear timeline for when we need to hear back from you to reserve your date, when our check-ins are scheduled, what tasks need to be completed by you and when, and when you should expect to hear from us, and when your complementary mockup should be scheduled. This is just a nice little checklist to follow along with as you continue planning your wedding.
